The dean of FEEC met with representatives of the Korean energy research support agency KETEP



A delegation from the Korean Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) agency, represented by Dr. Seung Young Chung, Director of International Cooperation Division, and Dr. Sung Joo Lee, Director of Energy Policy Department, which supports research and development projects in the field of energy, visited BEEC BUT at the end of March. The delegation also included Dr. InAe Cho, who is involved in energy policy research, and Mr. Young Wook Chung, Executive Director of FNC Technologies, with whom the FEEC's Department of Electrical Power Engineering has been working on a research project from 2021–2023. The Dean of FEEC, Prof. Vladimír Aubrecht, discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation with Korean universities and companies and further involvement in energy projects. The Korean partners expressed interest in the Czech side to submit not only the planned project in the field of nuclear energy, but also to gradually expand the portfolio of joint projects in the field of energy storage, energy efficiency and savings, renewable energy sources or advanced electricity grids. The meeting included a presentation of the outputs of the project, which was carried out on the Korean side by FNC Technologies, KHNP and KINGS University and on the Czech side by TES and FEEC. The visit further deepened the cooperation of the faculty with the Korean partners in the field of research and exchange of students, researchers and academic staff.
